Everyone has a Voice inside that is
The Voice of Truth, Power, and Confidence.

I want to help you discover THAT Voice and to let go of the other "voices"
that keep you from knowing your vocal and communication abilities.

You will learn to sing, speak, and communicate with awareness.

Lesson structure:
* During the first month, we will
"Build the Foundation of Your Voice".
(I will teach you the mechanics behind your physical voice.)
* The lessons following will be you and I working together to uncover the psychological "closed doors and walls" that block you from Your Voice.
* You will continue strengthening the physical voice
through guided practice.
* I will do energy work during the lessons that will support you
in the "letting go" process.

You will get the same out of the lessons whether you are a professional singer or speaker, or have never sung or taken lessons before now.
Plus, you will not take lessons forever with me.
(The average length of time I tend to work with an individual is about 4 months)

I have:
*15 years experience teaching private and group vocal lessons,
*A cumulative 30+ years in stage, professional, band, college, and recording experience,
*Worked in the healing and wellness field for well over 15 years,
*Studied the psychology of the voice for about 10 years.
*Been a Healer/Empath since childhood.

Lessons are professional, fun, and deeply informative.

I teach out of my home in SE Portland near Holgate and 39th.

You will bring with you to ALL of your lessons
(Including the trial lesson):

1) A CD (or your iPod) of your favorite song(s) to sing along with,
AND
2) A blank notebook filled with lined paper for me to write detailed notes in.

Even though I have taught all ages,the approach I take
requires life experience and a willingness/ability to dig deep.
For that reason, I prefer to work with ages 25 and up.
(I have been known to make exceptions,
but please let me know your age before
the trial lesson if you are under 25.)
Trial lesson:
$20.00
(Usually lasts about 40-45 minutes)
Private Sessions/Lessons:
$65.00/55-60 minutes
Unless you are training to become a professional singer
or public speaker, after the first month we will decide how many
lessons a month will work best for you.
Professionals are suggested to continue with one lesson a week
for at least 2 -4 months.
Vocal Playshops

Vocal Playshops are for people that would like to learn about their voice in a fun group setting.
There needs to be at least 5 people for a full class. The classes are 2-3 hours long. (Depending on the age of the group)
There are several group choices:
Group 1-     Ages 13-17      (2 hour Class only)
Group 2-     Ages 18-24      (2 and 3 hour Classes available)
Group 3-     Ages 25-29      (3 hour Class)
Group 4-     Ages 30-39      (3 hour Class)
Group 5-     Ages 40-60      (3 hour Class)
Group 6-     60's and up     (2 and 3 hour Classes available)
Group 7-     Mixed Ages     (2 and 3 hour Classes available)
(Group 7 must be discussed with Tara before deciding how to set up this class)

Cost of the classes:
$25.00 per person for either class
Other group rates are available upon request for more than 10 students.
Toning, Chanting & Sound Healing Class

Here's what it would look like:

*    A TEN WEEK class schedule
*    One evening a week (day and times below)
*    Discussion and training about Sound Healing and your
    voice
*    Toning and Chanting
*    Ending with a performance of toning, chanting, and
    sound healing for your friends and family

YOU WILL HAVE FUN LEARNING HOW TO USE YOUR VOICE AS A HEALING TOOL WHILE SINGING AND LEARNING WITH OTHERS.

This is a 3 hour class that will be broken up into
two 1 & 1/2 hour classes.
We will overlap the half hour in the middle so everyone will have a chance to work together.

The classes will take place on Friday evenings and will begin as soon as there are at least 15 people interested.

(Estimated start date: July 2008)

The early class- Begins at: 5:30 pm    &   Ends at: 7 pm
The later class-   Begins at: 6:30 pm    &   Ends at 8 pm
The overlap is-    6:30-7 pm

Total cost for the class is $150.00
(which breaks down to $15.00/class paid in full when you sign up)
Teacher Training

This level of training is for people who already have private students, those who plan to become teachers, public speakers, instructors, and anyone that stands in front of a classroom. (Including voice teachers, speech trainers, acting coaches, yoga instructors, athletic coaches, etc.)

The classes will deepen your teaching ability and take you and your students to a whole new level. You will learn to communicate on a deeper level with honesty and confidence.

The price is reduced for instructors and will follow a slightly different focus from the private lessons described above. You will need to plan on taking at least 6 lessons to get the most out of the training. (You can continue taking after the initial 6 at a reduced rate to be discussed in your trial lesson.)

Cost is:
$300 for 6 lessons
(Trial lesson is free)
Be prepared to pay for the classes in full at the first lesson
Self-Expression/Life Coaching

Along with the vocal coaching, Tara also offers Life and Self-Expression coaching.
This training and support is actually embedded in any of the other training that she does at no extra cost to you
