About Tara

Tara has been singing, performing and writing songs all of her life.
She started doing healing work when she was about 7 years old, and was supported from the beginning by her parents, Billy and Sharon Farmer.

She has learned that her life path is to sing, teach, heal, grow and support others in doing the same.

She began teaching voice lessons at age 21.  This was the beginning of her teaching career that has continued ever since.  She has taught pre-school music classes for children aged 1 & 1/2-6 years old, private students aged 8 and up, classes, workshops, choral groups, and much more.

She started working in health food stores at age 23 and become a sponge to learning as much as she could about wellness, nutrition, health, and healing on the physical level.  Over time, she managed four different health food stores and a Health Food Cafe.

She also began a search for others like herself that could help her grow in understanding different things about healing, being an empath/intuitive, etc., and how to make it all "work" in the "real world".  She discovered she wasn't alone in being "different".  This felt like a true miracle.

Tara's search led her to many teachers.  One was a Teacher/Student of the Red Road.  She began studying Native American tradition with him and has learned much from this teacher.  She still practices the traditional Native Ceremonies she learned from him and others on the same path.

There are many others that came and still come into her life to teach and support her on her path. 

Some include: a Teacher of Touch For Health and Reiki (and SO much more!!), Charlotte Scott; a Teacher of "Feeling Your Emotions", Raphael Cushnir; a Teacher of Prosperity Consciousness, Edwene Gaines; a Teacher of Manifesting and Creating, Julia Griffen; and many others, seen and unseen.

She has been through much training and work to uncover her many connections to the Spirit Realm. Tara now understands things in a way that can not fully be explained. 

She is very open spiritually and she works with Creator, many Guides and Angels, Animals, People, Energies, Spirits, Tree(s), and more as her support system.  She is clairvoyant, clairaudient, clairsentient, claircognizant, empathic and intuitive.

As it does, life happened, and Tara was given an opportunity to learn what life would be like without her singing voice. This happened after years of singing in smoky clubs and doing songs that were too strenuous for her voice on a weekly basis, as well as teaching young children, and over-using her voice instead of letting it heal between weekend gigs. 

She decided to quit the band she was in and chose not to sing while she found ways to heal her voice and herself.  This time period was her "Healing Crisis", and lasted about 5 years.

Eventually, she decided to study the psychology of the voice to help her in teaching/supporting her students (as well as for her own healing and growth).

She also went through a few years of deep personal and group therapy to uncover some of the things that kept her from using her own voice to the best of its ability.  She got involved in a 12 step program for co-dependency which she was a part of for 6 years.

Gradually, she loosened the ties that were binding her voice up and not allowing her to speak her truth or even sing her songs.

During this process, she began writing songs that came to her through dreams, conversations with friends, sitting around campfires with a Native American drum, and journaling. A gift that came to her during this time was her awareness of allowing songs to come through her instead of trying to "make/force them" to happen.

As a result of the above (and many other trials and gifts), Tara became very aware that her True Gift was to support others in learning what she herself has learned and is still learning every day. 
It became very obvious to her and those around her that instead of trying to make her life happen it was time for her to let it happen.

As a result, Tara decided that, "life is too short not to be doing what you love every day!! "  And she started doing what this website describes as
